Last night we went to a sushi restaurant. We used the point and order method, and ended up getting a giant order of sashimi. I have never consumed so much raw, mysterious fish in my entire life. It was so, so much raw fish. I refused to be the bourgeois white people who turn their nose up at weird fishy food, so we did our best to eat it - except the weird slimy thing, and the thing with legs and the thing that made me want to hurl, we left that stuff. I can't help thinking of this comparison:
"You like smoking, kiddo? Then I'm gonna make you smoke the whole pack."
translates to
"You like sashimi, whitey? Then I'm going to give you the whole fish."
I kid. I kid. But it had the same effect, I don't need to eat raw fish agian for a long, long time.
L+P.
